We decided that for the final illustrations, it would look better if one of us were to do the animal illustrations and one do the environmental illustrations, that way the artwork would look more consistent. Emanuel offered to do the environmental ones so I'm doing the animals. I thought his effect of having parts of the colour wash away from the animals was really effective is showing that the animals are disappearing, so I will try and use a similar effect. Here's some tests I've done for the animals:
The colours work well, but I think the washing away element needs to be a bit more controlled and limited in some areas to make it look a bit neater.
